My 7lbs Pomeranian Birdie has always had the worst teeth and needs a dental minimum once a year, which I hate to put her through down to go through. Since I started using Arterra toothpaste daily (and immediately after her meal) vets have praised her dental health and she hasn’t needed a dental at all. I’m very happy with this purchase! Plus, the flavor seems to be yummy for Birdie.

I don’t know why but I was surprised to see that this product was clear. I thought peanut butter and imagined a tan color. Not a bad thing at all, if not better because it doesn’t stain anything. The formula is good texture-wise and adheres well to a brush. My dog seemed to like the flavor after she got used to it.
I like all the benefits the product has, especially that it helps reverse micro-cavities and is remineralizing. I especially love that it’s non-toxic and can be safely swallowed.

My dog lived the flavor so it was not difficult to brush her teeth. She usually fights me when Zi brush her teeth and makes it very difficult, but not with this toothpaste. I love all the benefits it has for her teeth as well. It’s a nice sized tube so it will also last for awhile!

The packaging is aesthetically pleasing, I like that the squeeze bottle conveniently stands on its own - makes for easy storage in my bathroom. I noticed the texture of the toothpaste is thick, almost gel – like. I typically use enzymatic toothpaste recommended by my vet, which has more of a traditional toothpaste consistency, making it easier to get onto my dog’s toothbrush, and brush his teeth. I found Arterra’s consistency to be sticky, it was difficult to brush along my dog’s teeth with it, as it remained attached to the brush. it’s also a bit clumpy, I like to give one last little bit of toothpaste to my dog so he can lick it off the brush and simultaneously clean his tongue, but it clumped and fell off the brush before my dog could lick it off. I found the consistency easier to work with once I wet the brush/toothpaste, which I usually don’t do with the dog toothpaste I use. Overall, I like it, but I didn’t care for the texture of the toothpaste.

It seems like my dog really enjoys the flavor and her breath smelled like chocolate after which is a plus
