What does 50% active ingredients actually mean?

'Active' ingredients refer to the ingredients within each chew that contain a compound which has measurable effects on certain biological markers within the body. In a nutshell, it's the ingredients which produce a measurable positive effect within the body, be it on the joints, brain or other organs.

The industry average for active ingredients is 13% in a 3.5g soft chew. Arterra’s Adult formula contains 46% active ingredients in a larger, 5g soft chew, which means 5X the industry average, so your dog gets more of the good stuff! The reason we can't have 100% is because there has to be some parts of the chew that help hold it together and make it both palatable and enjoyable for your dog!

What if my dog is already taking supplements?

Arterra is the most advanced, all-in-one dog longevity multivitamin on the market. We've designed it to fully replace the typical off-the-shelf supplements that you might already be giving your dog, things like joint support, cognitive health supplements, gut health products, and more.

I noticed cherry is in the ingredients, isn't this toxic for dogs?

The main issue with cherries is the pits, steams and leaves, we use only the flesh of the cherry which is safe and packed full of healthy goodness

Amazing product and company!

Arterra is an awsome company! I had reached out to them with questions and they respond back immediately and helped with anything I needed. The product is awsome as well. I have a pit pull mix and usually pit bulls are susceptible to lots of allergies, I started off small and he had no issue at all. My pup just turned 10yo on Oct 11 of this year and he's extremely active. he's been all across the US with with me hiking thousands of miles, been to lots of beaches, seen countless national forest and attractions, seen lots of different states and been with me on every single camping trip. I recommend this product to anyone who has a dog, its never to late to start and the earlier the better. The reason why my dog is able to stay so active and not hurt the day after is because I have always tried my best to take care of his joints and digestive system. He is so important to me and I love products like arterra that help him continue his active lifestyle and keep him as healthy as possible so he can continue to see the world with me :)

My first batch wasnt very much of a “soft chew” and they sent me out another bag. I cut them in half each day and give it as a treat for their good behavior. My pups love them and they have no idea how good they are for them, too!

These "chews" are not chewy.. they are very hard and too hard for my dog to chew so he won't eat them

Not for my dog it seems

Everything sounds good about these, though my Great Dane whose slightly picky was not a fan unless I crumbled them into his meals. They smell strongly.
